Must try the eclairs — they do something about the way the pastry is made with vanilla, I suspect.

  • Keys & Co

    Caen, France· Regular spot

There are two locations, but the one closer to Moho is my favorite. The second one is more spacious and near the library.

Not sure whether to mark Green space or library or just like… place to sit, really. That’s all I care about in most libraries. It’s a great place to sit and do work. Feels weird marking this three stars. You don’t really do anything… but it’s a great place to be if you want to do something else.

  • Vertigo

Must try the embuscade — it's a renowned local drink, and though several bars in town claim to be its inventor, this one makes the best one.

  • Audio guided tour of the Bayeux Tapestry

About 45 minutes no matter which language you choose. All paced equally.

  • Les petites douceurs

    Caen, France· 3 visits

The tea was good, the pots pretty, and there was something simply pleasant about sitting under their little trees.

  • Dumbarton Oaks Park

    DC, USA· 3 visits

There are real flame lamps at night

  • Boulangerie Christophe

    DC, USA· 3 visits

The croissants are great, classic French croissants.I did, however, once make the mistake of getting some new-fangled pistachio croissant. Do. Not. Do. This. I tried a similar thing a few months ago at some chain, Maman (je pense), a cookie croissant. Gross. It's expensive, but the vibes are pretty nice. Be warned, though, if you're a flan fan, this might not be the right stop. (no vanilla, maybe?).

  • Blue Bird Bakery

    DC, USA· 3 visits

Had their croissants at some small coffee shop in union market. The barista told me they came from these people. Impressive; definitely on par with Boulangerie Christophe.

Great food & good ambiance, mais il faut dire que ça coûte la peau du cul

  • 5 Senses

    Bonn, Germany· 2 visits

Really liked the espresso. I asked for a Lungo, and I'm not totally sure it's what they brought me, but it was good all the same. Did some work there for about an hour and they had a nice little terrace. (but emphasis on little)

  • Rosedale Conservancy

Looks like it’d be good for picnics or reading or just sitting down. Bumped into it on a run. Gets sun in the afternoon.

Good energy. Good location. The first time I went, I could smell the crisp sweetness of the coffee from well outside the shop.
